ELECT AN ADVOCATE;
...........................NOT ANOTHER POLITICIAN
Small business owner
Residents are not a piggy bank. Their quality of life, stability, and peace of mind are the foundation of a strong community. Trustees are elected to represent the people—and every decision must put residents first. When families can’t afford more levies, it’s the trustees’ duty to find affordable, innovative solutions that strengthen Colerain without adding financial strain. Leadership means improving lives—not increasing burdens.
Trustees need to, "Stop buying what they want and begging for what we need." Being a good steward of public monies requires you to prioritize your obligations properly. A township is required to pay for: policing, fire, roads, and cemeteries. Everything else is discretionary. So, how is it our police department is not fully funded? Why are we laying off officers and not properly equipping them with appropriate safety tools? Current Colerain trustees do not have our priorities straight. I will fully fund our police and institute new practices to make our police department the envy of the region and our residents the safest.
No community can thrive without safety and peace of mind. Superior police, fire, and paramedic services are the foundation of the high quality of life Colerain residents deserve. Funding these essential services must be our top priority, not negotiable and not fungible. Using our police department as bait to garner more revenues is unconscionable.
Growth for its own sake is not progress. In Colerain, unchecked commercial sprawl has repeatedly led to empty storefronts along the Strip. We must protect the character of our neighborhoods and pursue smart, measured growth—growth that puts residents’ needs first.
For nearly a decade, Colerain’s leadership has operated as if residents and employees exist to serve them—rather than being committed to serving the community. This mindset has led to multiple lawsuits, with courts siding against the township for violating due process rights. The way we serve our residents is a direct reflection of our integrity. Restoring trust and accountability in township government is not optional—it’s essential. Rebuilding integrity must be our top priority.
The unplanned purchase of the Sears property has been a costly misstep for Colerain. With vision and preparation, it could have been a transformative investment. Instead, it reflects a lack of leadership, creativity, and direction. Now that the community owns it, we must act. We can’t wait for a “development fairy” to rescue us—we must lead. By leveraging tools like New Community Authority funding, TIFs, and JEDDs, we can revitalize this space without increasing taxes on township residents. The future of Colerain isn’t something we wait for—it’s something we build. Let’s get to work.
